In recent times I have really thrown myself into my photography. It has rapidly become a new release for me as I am working so hard, downtime is scarse and limited. Photography is easy to slot in as a camera can easily be slung in my bag.
Whilst arrange model shoots can be more time consuming, I do love them. But hey, in this ‘#selfie’ obsessed world thanks to Instagramm (@KhandieKhisses btw), I can always photograph myself. So here are my latest offerings for you to gander at.
Patrick was a model I booked via Spirit Models…they represent me as both a model and photographer. Patrick was a DREAM!
Meet Preacher. He taught me fire breathing. Talented little tyke that he is. Here he is breathing the burny magic.
Preacher trying not to be peeved I am forever shoving a camera in his noggin. At least I took him to the pub.
Client shoot. This is Sarah at the Falcondale Hotel. I was hired to shoot her for a boudoir inspired set up. I love this candid one of her looking out over the landscape. Somewhat Ms Monroe methinks!?
playing with texture. I had just finished the weightloss diet here so am rather slim. ooops. I like the texture though I could have styled this one better. My lips look pretty cool though.
This I adore. Patrick can go from sexy to mean to gentle in a flick of those beautiful eyes. I cant wait to shoot him again. I took inspiration from Sherlock Holmes for this. Thinking more of Watson than actual Sherlock. the tea cup is my own. The glasses are 99pm Lennon ones from the fancy dress shop with the lens pushed out. Hey presto period glasses. Styling can make or break a shoot!
80s inspired self shot. Using the old polarid as inspiration. Someone said I look like Madonna…nnnoooo bad eyebrows.
I have a week off at the start of July. I plan to be shooting so so so so much over that time!
Recently I have been somewhat lacking in drive when it comes to my own photography. I feel uninspired and despite endless hours spent trawling the internet for glimmers of inspiration, nothing came. Then I looked back at the heaps of undeveloped 120film I have stacked up, wondering how many I had accidentally double exposed. Then it struck me. Digital double exposure.
A quick look online for a how to didn’t really help so I went it alone.
Grabbing my mate Lily I simply took my Nikon D90 out at night and snapped a few shots. Some with a slower shutter speed to capture movement to help with the transistional flow of the double exposure.
In hindsight I would have taken my tripod so less movement from me, and perhaps possibly used the in camera double exposure feature. The latter feels somewhat like cheating so I don’t think I will do it.
Here is my final image. Quickly edited mind.
Double exposure photography attempted and most certainly to be repeated.

Today I had a gig…a singing gig. My first. In a swanky house in Harrow on the Hill. Loved it but drama just before the show when client asked if I could really pack the wow factor.
Off I popped to town to see what I could acquire to pack some punch. Cue Poundland.
Check out my barnet:
Rocking the budget.
In my hair is a £20 brooch from local boutique. Beading, bird and cage all £1 each. Poundland at this time of year is a goldmine of goodies.
Don’t be too posh to go in. Haribo only a quid…I grabbed loads!
I was in BHS recently and spotted some vintage inspired sewing machines. Cute and on sale at £35!
Want decorations with some wow factor. Check out this flamingo decoration from Clintons no less. £12. They also had unicorns, owls and ballerinas.
